Artistic Metalwork in the Interior
Today, artistic metalwork is gaining more and more popularity. As it is known, fashion is cyclical: it is now that the decoration with forged elements is returning to our life straight from the Middle Ages. In the hands of an experienced master metal turns into an exclusive masterpiece: even the smallest and seemingly insignificant detail made by a creative blacksmith can become a highlight of the whole room.
How and Where Wrought Elements Are Used
Currently, artistic metalwork is used almost everywhere: in the decoration of handrails, balconies, grills and even beds, both in public institutions and private homes. Such products unwittingly attract the eye with their reliability and strength, combined with apparent, regardless of their weight, airiness.
An obligatory condition for the use of forged products in the interior is the harmonious combination of all architectural and design solutions. Fortunately, artistic metalwork fits within almost all styles due to multiple variations of its shapes and sizes. Here are some examples of successful combinations:
• Classical Style. It goes without saying that wrought elements will perfectly harmonize with the classical design of your housing: lush floral ornaments and curls will complement the strict interior favourably.
• Minimalism. Now minimalism is one of the most popular and stylish directions of interior design. Straight lines, brevity ... and metalwork! Yes, in such a room it will look not less advantageous than in the combination with the classics. An exquisite touch of finely wrought metal will give the strict rails, elegant pieces of furniture (beds, tables, chairs), and accessories an excellent look.
• High Tech. It seems that forged elements are certainly not to be combined with this direction in the design. In reality, everything is quite the opposite – in the high-tech room, the artistic metalwork performed in strict, straight lines will show itself in a new light. For such a direction it is best to decorate the furniture with individual metal elements, quaint lamps and mirrors, as well as fireplaces of unusual shapes.
• Modern. What can be more bizarre than the contemporary art which has become the subject of the heated debate? Only forged elements in the Art Nouveau style, asymmetrical and not completely comprehensible.
• Gothic Style. Gothic and forging have always been inseparable, so here you will not encounter any problems: complex symmetrical patterns will be an excellent solution.
Wrought Furniture
Wrought furniture will be the best option for those who want to add something unusual to their interior.
Our masters can make anything of metal: beds, tables and chairs, fireplaces, various functional details of the room, and chandeliers.
Wrought beds look especially good. Do not be afraid that such a product will be cumbersome and heavy: a bed made of metal is suitable even for small bedrooms. Forged finish can well look light and airy if made creatively, so it will not overload the room.
Wrought chandeliers and fireplaces will add sophistication and elegance to the room. Forged table in the kitchen, wrought iron sink in the bathroom are all regular orders for our specialists and will be made with all the due creativity. Since the process of work on forged elements is rather time-consuming, it requires a lot of experience and an irreproachable artistic taste, which are the distinguishing qualities of our masters.
Metalwork Accessories
Naturally, forged furniture in the room must be supplemented with small accentuating accessories. We produce wrought chandeliers, fireplaces, panels, candlesticks, and vases. Exclusive forged products from our masters will definitely add variety to the interior: create the atmosphere of sophistication, refinement, or coziness.
The Basic Constituents of the Production of Metalwork Elements
The creation of forged products requires not only a refined taste, but also appropriate skills. Now, the fashionable term "cold forging" is becoming widespread. However, it has nothing to do with the old noble art. During such production, the metal element is simply bent into the required shape. For this process, there is no need for the ultramodern special equipment and extraordinary skills. It is only the use of metal as the main material that is left form the initial concept of forging. Our masters, however, apply traditional forging technology, heating the metal to the high temperature necessary for its further shaping.
After that the finished product undergoes galvanization: it is covered with a layer of zinc to protect it from corrosion. During the last stage, the product is dipped into the priming and further coated with paint.
